Each afternoon,
Missouri Valley third grade students are engaged in a STEM project based around
a pinball machine. During this time, students are exploring with hands-on
materials, debating and communicating their ideas, testing their ideas, and drawing
their own conclusions based on the evidence they gather on their pinball
machines.
Science Standards:
3PS2-1 : Plan and
Conduct an investigation to provide evidence of the effects of balanced and
unbalanced forces on the motion of an object.
3PS2-2 : Make
observations and/ or measurements of an object's motion to provide evidence
that a pattern can be used to predict future motion.
