HOSA Students Teach First Graders About Hand Washing

Missouri Valley HOSA students recently taught first graders about hand washing and the spread of germs.

What is HOSA?

HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA's goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.

HOSA students will be visiting the elementary several times this year teaching healthy habits. Due to their choice of pursuing a career in the health care field, HOSA students have decided to visit the elementary in hopes of helping them understand the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. This is a great opportunity for collaboration of students from different grade levels in the district.
